BEIJING, 22 SEP (DNA) — China strongly condemned a terrorist attack on a police facility in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on September 18 and reaffirmed its support for Pakistan’s counter-terrorism efforts. This was stated by the Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said at a regular press conference, China Economic Net (CEN) reported.
“China strongly condemns this attack. We mourn for the loss of lives and extend sincere sympathies to the injured and the bereaved families,” Guo said in response to a question about the attack. “Terrorism is a common enemy of humanity. Fighting terrorism is in the shared interests of all countries,” he said.
China will continue its steadfast support for Pakistan’s counter-terrorism efforts, Guo said, calling on all countries to join forces in tackling the threat of terrorism and safeguarding global security and stability. — DNA
