MANSEHRA, Aug 31 (DNA): An Irish tourist has gone missing while returning from Musa Ka Musalla, a 13,500-foot-high peak in the scenic Siran Valley of Mansehra.
According to police, the missing tourist, identified as Alexander, had ascended the peak on Friday along with another foreign tourist. Police said both tourists had traveled to the area without obtaining a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
The two friends reportedly decided to descend separately while returning from the peak. Alexander subsequently went missing, prompting the authorities to launch a search operation.
Following the report, a large contingent of police personnel was deployed across the area to trace the missing tourist. SP City Shahnawaz Khan is supervising the search operation.
Police teams are continuing efforts to locate the Irish national in the mountainous terrain.
