ISLAMABAD, 16 AUG (DNA) — President Asif Ali Zardari, Sunday, commended the security forces for their successful intelligence-based operation against terrorists in Kharan district, Balochistan.
The president observed that the destruction of hideouts of Fitna al-Khwarij terrorists and the recovery of a large quantity of weapons and ammunition were significant achievements, President Secretariat Media Wing said in a press release.
He reiterated that operations against terrorist elements, operating with external support, were essential to safeguarding Pakistan’s national security. President Zardari said the entire nation stands firmly with Pakistan’s security forces in the fight against terrorism. — DNA
