Rawalpindi Police deploy over 900 personnel

RAWALPINDI, 18 MAY (DNA) —    Rawalpindi Police has deployed more than 900 officers and personnel to provide security during the four-day anti-polio campaign started across the district on Monday.

According to the police spokesman, security arrangements have been made for 686 polio teams operating throughout the district, while protection was also being provided at 352 transit points and 232 fixed vaccination centres.

Police mobiles, the Elite Squad and Dolphin Force were conducting patrols in various areas to ensure smooth implementation of the campaign and maintain law and order. The spokesman reiterated that Rawalpindi Police remained committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens and ensuring a secure environment for public health initiatives.— DNA
