RAWALPINDI, SEP 15: Security forces killed at least 31 terrorists linked to the Indian-backed outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) during two separate operations in Lakki Marwat and Bannu districts on September 13 and 14, the military’s media wing said on Monday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations were launched after confirmed intelligence reports about the presence of militants belonging to the Indian proxy group Fitna al-Khawarij.
In the first operation, conducted in Lakki Marwat, security personnel targeted a major hideout where 14 terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire.
The second operation unfolded in Bannu district, where forces engaged militants in a heavy exchange of fire. Seventeen terrorists were neutralized during the encounter, ISPR reported.

The military added that the terrorists had been involved in planning and executing attacks against security forces and civilians in the region.
ISPR further said that security forces are continuing search and clearance operations in both districts to eliminate any remaining threats. Hideouts of the terrorists were also destroyed in the process.
35 TTP terrorists killed, 12 soldiers martyred
Earlier, Pakistan’s security forces carried out intensive operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, neutralising 35 TTP terrorists.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), twelve brave soldiers paid the ultimate sacrifice while defending the motherland.
The first operation was conducted in Bajaur District following intelligence reports about the presence of militants. During the engagement, security forces confronted the Khawarij and successfully neutralized 22 terrorists after an intense exchange of fire.
In a separate encounter in South Waziristan District, 13 more militants were eliminated. These individuals were actively involved in terrorist activities in the region, and security forces recovered weapons and ammunition from the site.
