LAHORE, FEB 17 (DNA) — Quite an embarrassing situation developed for the ex-members of the Punjab Assembly (MPAs) belonging to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Friday when Senior Vice President and the party’s Chief Organizer Maryam Nawaz scolded them for their inefficiency and poor performance.

During the meeting of PML-N leaders at the Model Town secretariat, Maryam Nawaz admonished the party leaders for failing to spread the party’s message and make it more popular.   Similarly, the sources added, she gave instructions for making the PML-N’s media and social wings more proactive.

The chief organizer also gave important assignments to the party leaders for organizing the party.  Maryam told them that she would review their performances after one week.  PML-N Lahore President Saiful Malook Khokhar, General Secretary Khawaja Imran Nazir, and President of Women’s Wing, Lahore Saadia Taimoor were also present on the occasion.

Matters related to the organisation of the party and future political strategy to be adopted came under discussion at the meeting.  Consultations were also held on organising the party’s social media and youth wings at the union council level.

Similarly, the participants also discussed preparations for the next general elections, hindrances in the way of the PML-N’s popularity, and the strategy to remove these hindrances.

Speaking on the occasion, Maryam said those PML-N leaders who remained steadfast in the face of adverse circumstances were the party’s assets. She vowed that the PML-N would repeat the performance it had shown in the past. — DNA
