ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has appreciated efforts of NCOC and all stake holders for all our efforts for public safety and health.  NCC endorsed all measures of recently announced measures of NCOC including implementation on wearing of face mask, reduce timings of closing of Markets, Restaurants, marriage Halls, enforcement of smart lockdowns.

He said this during NCC meeting held at  Islamabad today  . PM Chaired the meeting. Federal ministers attended. CMs joined the meeting through video link. NCOC apprised PM about current Covid situation and current pattern of disease spread and increasing positivity ratio. PM directed all stake holders to balance between disease control measures and livelihood of people. PM particularly directed for ramping up hospital care to cater for any rise in Covid cases particularly critical care equipment.

The prime minister directed NCOC to formulate future course of action in consultation with all stake holders and issue necessary guidelines.

It was expected that the NCC meeting may go for a smart lockdown however the meeting did not discuss this idea for the time being.

The meeting rather decided to implement SOPs in letter and spirit in order to effectively cope with post-COVID situation.
