Pakistan Muslim League-Qayyum on Wednesday said country is passing through difficult times and it cannot afford further political polarization. Awami National Party (ANP) is playing with fire by fanning negative nationalism

and provincialism while we will never allow its effort to rename Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as Pakhtoonkhwa, it said.

Those involved in negative politics have inflicted harm on the country which must be noticed and stopped immediately, said Muazzam Butt. Central President PML-Qayyum.

In a statement issued here today, he said that those who are opposing Kalabagh dam are hand in glove with the countries that want to transform Pakistan into a desert.

A neighbouring country has built hundreds of dams including many controversial hydro power projects but it has been trying best to block any such move by Pakistan to boost agriculture and power production and tackle water scarcity.

Muazzam Butt said that PML-Qayyum will soon hold a meeting of the National Delebration Council of the party and take a decision regarding Kalabagh as it is a matter of life and eath for Pakistan.

Pakistan is among the countries which are falling under the crucial line marked by the World Bank as a water scarce country while per capita water availability is declining every year which cannot be ignored.

He said that PTM is the B team of ANP which is getting funding from many countries that want to destabilize Pakistan.

The claim by the ANP to reopen the Babrra incident is a joke and wastage of time, he said, adding that reopening of this case will not result in the outcome that ANP wants.

He said that the government’s move to crush the Babrra marchers was a timely decision which could have resulted in the dismemberment of the country.
