26 outlaws including six POs held; stolen vehicle and narcotics recovered

ISLAMABAD, JULY 8 (DNA) – Islamabad police have arrested 26 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered stolen vehicle, hashish, wine, valuables and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said.

Following the directions of IGP Islamabad Aamir Zulfqar Khan and DIG  (Operations) Waqar Uddin, all officials of Islamabad police has accelerated their efforts to curb activities of anti-social elements and drug pushers.


Secretariat police arrested an accused Chan Zaib and recovered 1.115 kilogram hashish from him.  Bhara Kahu police arrested Tariq Mehmood and Tariq Shabbir and recovered stolen vehicle from their possession.
CIA police arrested Abrar Khan and recovered 470 gram hashish and 10 gram ice from him.  Tarnol police arrested Nawaz and Irfan and recovered 270 gram hashish and 165 gram heroin from their possession respectively. Industrial-Area police arrested Jawad Khan and recovered iron punch from him.
Sabzi Mandi police arrested Afzal Tanveer and recovered stolen valuables from him. Noon police arrested Wali Khan for having 430 gram hashish while Ramana police arrested Muddsar Asghar, Hakim Khan and Ashraf and recovered two30 bore pistol and 160 gram hashish from them.
Shams colony police arrested four Nigerian nationals identified as Prine, Lonih , Onuchukwu , Chimezine and recovered 89 cans of  beer and 32 bottles wine from their possession. Police also arrested Nawaz Khan and Muddsar and recovered 120 gram hashish and one 30 bore pistol from their possession respectively. Koral police arrested Maqsood and recovered 807 gram hashish from him.
Nilor police arrested Furqan and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further legal proceeding is underway against them. During special checking in the whole city, police nabbed six proclaimed offenders.
DIG (Operations) Islamabad Waqar Uddin has appreciated the performance and directed all police officials for high vigilance and monitoring against those involved in anti-social activities.
He said that Islamabad Police would also safeguard its youth from various evils like use of drugs and ensure brighter future of them.
He said that it is the collective responsibility of the every person of the society to remain alert against those involve d in criminal activities in their surroundings and inform police for action against them.
