ISLAMABAD, JAN 7 (DNA) -Seyed Mohammad Hosseini Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan has issued a special statement on the occasion of 41st anniversary of glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution. Here is the full text of the message.

“In the Name of Allah, the Merciful the CompassionateBy saying Assalamo Alaikum and presenting regards to the dear audience and noble nation of Pakistan.

I thank Allah Almighty and express my gratitude on having an opportunity on onset of my diplomatic tenure to present my salute, regards and sincere sentiments by this medium to endeared and favorite nation of Pakistan.

We are going to celebrate 41st anniversary of glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution. The revolution under sagacious and distinctive leadership of Hazrat Imam Khomeini (R.A) and with trust on Almighty Allah and vigorous support and sacrifices of the Iranian nation, has defined revival of pure Mohammadi (PBUH) Islam, unity and amity among the Muslims, support to the deprived and oppressed and independence and supremacy of Islamic values, as its top priority and goals and pursued them.

One of the objectives of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of its foreign policy, since its inception up to now, has been unwavering supporter of the freedom of sacred occupied Palestinian soil and Al-Quds Sharif and Iran has expressed its vivid and clear opposition to any type of oppressive plan including recent US-Zionist plan called “Deal of the Century”, that has brushed aside the natural rights of the great Palestinian nation and granting legitimacy to the aggression and occupation.

Today, when we are commemorating 41st anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Commander Martyr Qassem Soleimani, the most powerful, effective and popular anti-terrorism commander of the world, who sacrificed his life for the security and stability of the region is not with us.

Fourty days back, he became victim of a cowardly and brutal terrorist act by the biggest terrorist state of the world i.e. US regime. The funeral processions of this great man and commemoration of the martyr in different countries marked one of the biggest funerals in the world. The burial despite propaganda by Zionist media imperialism, showed his unprecedented popularity in the people and his appreciation by the nations.

Among the countries in the world, Pakistan was the first country to recognize the Islamic Republic of Iran. The emphasis of Imam Khomeini and Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as well as the constitution and the emphasis of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the priority of strengthening and expanding Iran’s relations with neighboring and Muslim countries, have led to the particular importance of relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Also, given the religious, cultural, linguistic, and civilizational commonality between the two countries, relations between Iran and Pakistan in the public and private spheres are based on solidarity, friendship, mutual respect, interest and comprehensive cooperation. Tehran and Islamabad have done so with good faith and determination to build up their fraternal and sincere bonds and to protect and secure it from harm of the overbearing and divisive aliens.

Today, it can be said that the relations between the two countries enjoys a growing trend in the political, cultural and economic spheres. However, the capacity of each other to cooperate, especially in the commercial and economic fields, is far beyond the status quo. Implementing the gas pipeline project, increasing Iran’s export of electricity to Pakistan, and boosting cross-border trade are among the projects that serve the interests of both nations and underpin the development and tranquility of the two countries. Unfortunately, in recent years, the negative and destructive interference of third parties has created major obstacles to the implementation of these projects that will bring prosperity to both nations.

The common will and determination of authorities in Tehran and Islamabad can certainly overcome the existing problems and herald a new chapter in constructive relations between the two nations. Due to the great cultural partnership between Iran and Pakistan, we are working to increase our cooperation in various fields, including teaching Persian and Urdu languages, media, sports, science and academia, film and music. Strengthening public relations and interactions and enhancing flights between the two countries are among our common goals. Pak-Iran friendship zinda baad”. DNA
