Two Saudi citizens injured in New Zealand terrorist attacks

DUBAI:  (DNA) – Two Saudi citizens were among those injured in the terrorist attacks on Al Noor mosque in New Zealand’s Christchurch, according to an official statement from the Kingdom’s embassy in Wellington.“A Saudi citizen was injured with non-threatening wounds during the shootings and was reassured of his health and safety,” the statement read ealier on Friday.“The embassy calls on all citizens in Christchurch to be vigilant and follow the instructions issued by local authorities and stay indoors during this time until the situation returns to normal,” it added.

The embassy later issued a statement confirming that a second Saudi citizen was also being treated for wounds sustained during the shootings at the Christchurch hospital.

 New Zealand police detained three men and a woman on Friday after mass shootings at two mosques in the city of Christchurch, which are being dubbed as “terrorist attacks.”

New Zealand Prime Minster Jacinda Ardern said that at least 40 people were killed, and 20 others critically injured in the shootings.
