ISLAMABAD, MAR 08 (DNA) – Pakistan and South Korea have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for employment of Pakistani workers in the East Asian country. In a ceremony held at the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis on Wednesday, the Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Pir Syed Sadruddin Shah Rashidi signed the agreement with South Korea for employment of Pakistani workers in Korea through Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC) for two years i.e. 2018-19.
The minister welcomed the Korean side for giving the Government of Pakistan an opportunity to send Pakistani workers to South Korea through a transparent and efficient mechanism.
The Korean Ambassador, Mr. Kwak Sung-Kyu, in his address appreciated the cooperation between the Ministry of OP&HRD and Ministry of Employment and Labour, Korea for employment of skilled and dedicated labour from Pakistan.
He expressed that this cooperation will further improve in the days to come.
