Pakistani speedster Mohammad Amir already has a reason to celebrate the returning of International Cricket in Pakistan as he on Tuesday becomes father of a baby girl on eve of historic Independence Cup series. The left-arm pacer is in England these days, where he has been living with his wife and playing country cricket over the past few months. He has not been much effective for Pakistan in the shortest format of the game, however, his fans will still miss his presence in the first match of the Independence Cup, which will begin at 8pm.
Taking to twitter to share the delightful moments, he said: “Shukar Allhumdulilah blessed with the Rehmat of Allah .. Mashallah.”
If Mohammad Amir features Pakistan in the international cricket reviving series in Pakistan against the World XI, it would be his first time to play international cricket in his homeland.
The news of the fast bowler’s wife expecting broke out earlier this month, ahead of Independence Cup.
Sources say Amir may depart for Lahore to take part in last two matches of the historic series, which marks the return of international cricket to Pakistan after years of isolation.
